When an overweight, depressed, single mum, finds out that her estranged sister is getting married to her own x-husband, she decides to take control of her life, weight, and love life by doing whatever it takes to achieve the perfect body by the time of her sisters wedding. She embarks on a journey of weight-loss surgery & self discovery only to discover that a perfect body does not a perfect life make. She must learn to find the balance between achieving her dreams, being true to herself, and taking care of the loveable, but slightly eccentric band of family and friends that surround her. In doing this she finds her place in the world and a man who has a place for her in his heart.
