Colour & Stripe Business Basics
Selecting the best colours and stripes for shirts can be daunting for some men, but it needn’t be.
Take a look at this image and notice which colours are in each dress level section.
SOLID COLOURED SHIRTS
Go with colours that sit within the band that matches the required dress level.
STRIPE SHIRTS
If it’s a high-level business casual look he’s after first select the background from the professional range and then the stripe from the same level or a light colour from the business casual level.
If it’s a business casual look, select the background and stripe from the business casual section or the background from the business casual section and the stripe from the professional section.
Take note of the width of the stripe as well. The finer the stripe and the closer they are together the more formal the look. The same applies to suits.
