Appearance standards are one of major challenges, companies are facing today. The buzz is all over the media, thanks to Twitter and Facebook. Acknowledging this longing for inclusiveness and an effective plan is key. Communities all over the world are banding together for one good cause by accepting individuality. Hence, The Crown Act, which stands for “Create a Respectful and Open Workplace for Natural Hair.” People of color are the only race that is discriminated against for the way their hair grows out of their scalp.
